Getting the button you want
First you need to decide what custom button icon you want.
Custom heads from Head Database, Tools with damage and any other custom item is possible to use as a GUI button!
Once we have the new icon it is as simple as opening the main edit GUI of the button ( Image-1 )
When you are in this view you need to press the item you want as a button.
